Best Buddies International | Oregon
We created a collection of promotional videos and provided technical support for a fundraiser gala benefiting an organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our videos featured stories from organizational leaders and community “champions of inclusion;” we screened these alongside live elements for digital audiences at their annual fundraising gala. On the back end, we designed and facilitated all digital elements of the gala to ensure a professional presentation and smooth sequence of speakers. With our support, the gala raised $49,000+ for Best Buddies’ Oregon chapter.
We met the Best Buddies team and a few of their community members at Studio Northwest for a series of interviews and staged behind-the-scenes interactions. We used these interviews and B-roll in congruence with a vast array of archival footage taken from other chapters’ videos to create a highlight video and six community profile pieces on each of the organization’s nominated partners.
The night of the gala, MCs presented the different Champions, guided attendees through an online silent auction, and gave heartfelt shoutouts to the multitude of donors and sponsors that came to show their support. We hosted the gala through Zoom and then streamed out to Youtube and Facebook to offer attendees a variety of options for tuning in.
“After research and interviews with four other companies, we chose to use Erik and Bridge City Media based on his enthusiasm for our mission, experience with nonprofits and of course, his knowledge and expertise in video production.
This year we had to transition our annual fundraising gala to a virtual model which was something new for all of us. Erik quickly became part of our tiny team and jumped right in offering strategies and solutions that were creative and impactful. The entire production team was great to work with and we LOVED the outcome of the mini testimonial videos and the entire program production! He was easy to work with, organized, timely and fun! We ended up passing our goal and are already thinking of other ways to repurpose the videos and work they created. Highly recommend Bridge City Media for all your video production needs!”
